POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS)

Laser is by far the best thing you can do for hair growth on your face caused by PCOS.

Having hair grow on your face can be very destressing for many women.  Let us help you get on top of it and return your face to how it should be.

Treatments will permanently reduce hair growth and even out any pigmentation caused by less effective forms of hair removal. We recommend getting a good few regular sessions under your belt to begin with (6-8 for example). After this the hair will be very much reduced. What does grow back will be finer and come in a lot slower and those pesky ingrown hairs that cause irritation will have disappeared.

Frequently asked questions

What is Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) ?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal condition that affects women of reproductive age. It usually starts during adolescence, but symptoms may fluctuate over time.

Symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome can differ from person to person. Symptoms may change over time and often occur without a clear trigger.

Possible symptoms include:

  • excessive hair on the face or body
  • heavy, long, intermittent, unpredictable or absent periods
  • infertility
  • acne or oily skin
  • male-pattern baldness or hair thinning
  • weight gain, especially around the belly.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required for PCOS treatment varies based on individual needs. Most people with PCOS require more sessions than average due to hormonal fluctuations that can stimulate hair growth. Typically, you can expect anywhere from 6 to 12 sessions for effective results, but ongoing maintenance sessions may be necessary to keep unwanted hair at bay – see below for details of our maintenance membership.

Does it hurt?

The level of discomfort during PCOS treatments can be up for debate! Some describe the sensation as a mild snapping of a rubber band, while others might just say ‘whooo!’ But it should never feel like real pain—only a manageable sensation.

Our fabulous machines come with inbuilt cooling systems that cool the skin on contact, making the experience much more comfortable. Different parts of the body can be more sensitive than others, so it’s important to communicate with us, and we can adjust the settings to find the right one for you.

If you’re worried about pain, don’t be—the sensation is worth the results! We’ll ensure you feel comfortable and get the best possible outcome.

How much does it cost?

Top Lip or Chin: £35 per session
Top Lip and Chin: £55 per session
Lower Face & Neck: £80 per session

We also offer courses of 6 (Pay for 5 upfront get 1 free).

Once you have completed 6 sessions you are eligible for our maintenance membership (see below)

Maintenance membership

After 6 fully paid sessions on your face you will be invited to join our monthly maintenance membership from as little as £40 per month.

There is no contract just a direct debit. T&Cs apply.  You can book in as and when you require a top up. Usually every 3-6 weeks.

Stay smooth and save cash.

We’ve got you covered.

Why do I need a top up?

Ladies with PCOS have more male hormones in their bodies than someone without PCOS. This drives hair growth by activating new follicles all the time. Don’t let this worry you. You simply book a session online and get back on top of it.

If laser sounds like a dream come true and you’d love to begin sessions, it is important to stop waxing, plucking and threading a few weeks before hand. We need a fat juicy root to zap. Half a root won’t work as well.

One last thing

It’s an old wives’ tale that if you shave, it will come in thicker. Its simply not true. It just feels jaggy because the soft length is gone.

Whats stopping you girl? Go claim that beautiful face back.

Please be aware that we are unable to treat grey/white hair. It is invisible to laser light.
